Honey Bee Candles® are naturally coloured by the pollen that the honey bees brush onto the beeswax in the beehive and given their honey aroma by the nectar from the flowers that the honey bees have foraged on. Our natural candles are great for the dining table as their honey aroma will not clash with your food— unlike paraffin or soy candles which have synthetic fragrances as well as artificial colour dyes

Beeswax Bloom
Like a delicate flower blooming, this process takes time and requires certain conditions
Beeswax bloom is an authentic sign of purity which only appears on 100% pure beeswax candles during cold temperatures and resembles powdered snow. This starts off as a thin layer and thickens with time, just as snow falls
Many people love seeing a candle bloom as it is proof that the candle is 100% pure beeswax. Bloom does not affect how the candle burns, how long it burns for or its natural subtle honey aroma. If you don’t like it, simply light your candle and the bloom will disappear as the candle warms up with the heat of its flame, just as the Spring sunshine starts to melt the Winter ice
If a candle is made of a mix of beeswax and other waxes, it will not be able to form bloom or truly purify the air
No Expiry Date
Honey Bee Candles® are as effective on Day 1 as they are on Day 100 and beyond— unlike soy or paraffin candles which have a shelf-life of about 3 to 12 months after which the hydrogenated wax, synthetic fragrances and artificial colour dyes become rancid

Natural Indoor Air Purifiers
Honey Bee Candles® are natural air purifiers. When lit, our candles will emit a honey aroma and provide an air purifying effect in the room thus reducing the level of air pollutants as well as irritants like airborne dust and unwanted cooking smells
The air purifying effect of a Honey Bee Candle® is shown when dark lines form in the molten wax pool as airborne pollutants are purified. Our candles are effective but remember that they are designed for everyday use— not for extreme cases such as during renovation works

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) easily become vapours or gases. Research shows that levels of VOCs are 2 to 5 times higher indoors than outdoors

Our honey bees always have enough honey. We only use 100% pure beeswax that is the by-product of surplus honey
Beeswax is produced in conjunction with honey. If the surplus honey was harvested and the beeswax was left aside, then the beeswax would eventually biodegrade. Natural beeswax is a really useful product and with our knowledge and skills, we create Honey Bee Candles® to fulfil its potential
Ethical beekeeping practices both protect and promote the wellbeing of the natural environment. It works in harmony with the wildlife, landscape and local communities— unlike genetically-modified monocultures such as soya bean and palm oil production
Plastic free and Zero waste
All Honey Bee Candles® and the packaging that we use are plastic free, zero waste and biodegradable by design. Our packaging is sustainably sourced and made from post-consumer recycled fibre
All the ingredients and materials that we use for our candles are eco friendly and non-toxic before, during and post-production as well as after the candles are used
This enables our packaging to be re-used, re-purposed or composted at home in addition to being kerb-side recyclable. There is no good reason that anything from our company should be added to landfill, but if that situation does occur— then our products and their packaging do not pose a threat to the local community, animals, wildlife, the environment and the water cycle
