Natural 100% pure beeswax is the best | As nature (and the honey bee) intended

  • 100% pure beeswax candles burn longer, cleaner and brighter than other 100% pure natural wax candles (like soy, palm or vegetable wax) and they are the finishing touch to an elegant table setting

  • Our candles are great for the table as their subtle honey aroma will not clash with your food- unlike paraffin or soy candles as most of these have heavy chemical fragrances/scents as well as synthetic colours and dyes

  • Our candles are naturally coloured by pollen granules that the honey bees brush onto the beeswax in the hive and given their lovely aroma by the nectar from the flowers that the honey bees have foraged on. Therefore, the colour and aroma of our beeswax may vary

Always Handmade in Small Batches | No Machines and Never Mass Produced

Honey Bee Candles products are handmade by the 2 of us (Priscilla & Pravana) in small batches. Each item is given our full attention so you should consistently experience high quality products. We are proud that we make eco-friendly and zero-waste candles (they are completely natural and biodegradable)

How to get the best value from your candle:

Always use a candle stand

  • It is the most effective way to ensure a flat, heat-resistant surface

  • It is also an easy way to effectively reduce the chance of wax drips; ensuring that the candle burns for as long as possible

We strongly advise that the Christina pillar candle is always burnt using a candle stand- we recommend trying our unique candle stand (Honey Bee Candle Stand)

  • Great for families with young children and pets as we designed it to provide increased stability compared to the majority of other candle holders while providing ventilation to protect your table surface

  • It can accommodate any candle: from a taper candle to a 8.5cm/3.5" wide pillar candle

  • Using the Honey Bee Candle Stand allows you to display an entire taper candle—unlike traditional candlestick holders that hide the base

  • Our natural beeswax is straight from the beehive (we only filter it to remove the dirt and debris). Our beeswax is sustainably-sourced following Ethical Beekeeping Practices. We collect our beeswax as a result of honey harvests- where the surplus honey and beeswax is collected by beekeepers at certain times of the year; this means that the honey bees always have enough honey and beeswax and it is a sustainable source for our family business. This is good use of a resource that would otherwise just be left to eventually naturally biodegrade.

  • Honey Bee Candles are perfect for a zero-waste lifestyle- our plastic-free packaging is also biodegradable and is made from recycled post-consumer packaging. They are also palm-oil-free (we love no-palm-oil products in our family); beeswax production is renewable (unlike paraffin wax) and does not cause irreversible environment/landscape changes that most often devastate and endanger local wildlife (like soy and palm wax)

  • Beeswax is naturally non-toxic, renewable, biodegradable and hypoallergenic. Honey Bee Candles are popular with the whole family; particularly expectant or new mothers, babies and toddlers as well as those who have asthma or who have conditions classed under chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD). Our candles are also really good for homes with pets- they often help to calm pets (particularly useful during busy times like Easter) and unlike soy or paraffin candles, they are free of synthetic fragrances (just a natural honey aroma) so Honey Bee Candles are extremely unlikely to agitate your pet

100% pure natural beeswax is the only type of natural wax that can be used for hand poured candles in its pure state. It is a really fascinating material as it is firm enough to allow us to create beautiful and elegant designs such as Christina but soft enough to be flexible so that it does not splinter and chip when placed onto a spiked candle stand. 100% pure beeswax candles do not expire, go rancid; they do not “go off”. If stored in a cold room or near a window, a 100% pure beeswax candle will develop “bloom”. This is a white film that starts off as a thin layer and thickens with time- it looks like the first snow of winter. Many people love seeing “bloom” as it is proof that the candle is 100% pure beeswax. Mixtures of beeswax and other waxes are not able to form “bloom”. “Bloom” should not affect how the candle burns, how long it burns for and its natural subtle honey aroma. If you don’t like this, simply light your candle and the “bloom” will disappear as the candle warms up from the heat of its flame

Natural Ionisers

  • Honey Bee Candles are 100% pure beeswax candles. Only 100% pure beeswax candles purify the air as they emit negative ions. Dust, pollen and pollution are airborne due to their positive ions so the negative ions of a burning beeswax candle neutralise them- leaving a lovely subtle honey aroma and a gently warmed room

  • In cities or dusty areas, you will be able to see the molten wax pool at the top of the candle start to darken: this is because when the airborne positive ions become neutralised, they become a complete molecule which is heavier than air so it becomes a solid. When a Honey Bee Candle has been burning long enough, you will be able to experience the difference: it’s sort of like a ray of sunshine, fresh ocean breeze or freshly cut green grass

  • If you start to burn Honey Bee Candles every day, the air in your home will be cleaner, sweeter and ultimately healthier than if you didn’t purify the air. For best results, ideally also vacuum carpets or wipe hard floors daily but a few times a week also works well. The more that you burn Honey Bee Candles, the greater the effect but you should start to notice a difference from the first burn. To start, try burning a Honey Bee Candle for three hours every day for a week. If you are new to beeswax candles, we recommend Benjamin, Lexi or the Bee Column along with a spiked candle stand to start your experience; it is important to have a candle stand

My daughter and I hand make all our candles in England, in small batches using 100% pure beeswax and 100% pure cotton wicks. We will send them to you using plastic-free and zero-waste recycled packaging; this means that everything is biodegradable (or you can recycle it) so nothing needs to go to landfill.

Most of the time we have stock that is ready to ship but at times, we may require 1 to 2 days to process your handmade order- please factor this in when you place your order. View our Shipping Policy here

100% pure beeswax candles are the best Storm Candles

  • Non-toxic

  • Naturally long-burning

  • Never expire/never go rancid

  • Highest flame temperature

100% pure beeswax candles are the best for storm candles because natural beeswax is non-toxic and long-burning; beeswax never goes rancid and it has the highest flame temperature compared to paraffin, soy and palm candles. Our candles do not add to indoor pollution so are ideal for use in small spaces such as a safe room or in the car if caught in a snow storm

Which candles go well with Christina?

We have carefully designed our candle collection so that all of the candles work in harmony with each other. The advantage of having candles without any synthetic fragrances is that the subtle honey aroma will intensify, rather than clash with each other like synthetic fragrances

  • Leave at least 10cm between pillar candles

  • Leave at least 5cm between taper candles

Did you know?

  • The beautiful, bright glow of a lit beeswax candle is on the same light spectrum as sunlight

  • We only use beeswax that is the by-product of surplus honey; the honey bees always have enough honey

  • For every 1 lb (450g) of beeswax, honey bees have to collect nectar from nearly 33 million flowers

  • 75,000 honey bees work together to make 1 lb (450g) of beeswax

  • A honey bee makes 8 scales of beeswax in 12 hours. About 1000 wax scales are needed to make ¹̷ ₅₀₀ lb (1g) of beeswax
